CNC Programmer Machinist

Job Description

Checkered Past Machine is seeking an Experienced Programmer/Setup/CNC Mill Machinist for job opportunities in Brownsburg, Indiana. Our team of highly skilled machinists has extensive experience with a wide range of materials, part sizes, and complexities. We are a diverse manufacturing company capable of producing everything from one-piece prototypes to small production runs.

Pay is based on experience. Precision Machining education or similar qualifications may be considered in lieu of part of the experience requirement, as well as programming certifications. Tuition assistance is available.

Requirements:

Experience with MasterCAM, SolidWorks, SolidCAM, or similar programming software required

Ability to read prints and work as a machinist skilled at multitasking and handling multiple setups required

Ability to show up every day, maintain a positive attitude and work ethic, including working overtime as needed required

Strong attention to detail

Confidence in setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes (this position will specialize in milling)

Comfortable with editing G-code

Experience with multi-axis machining centers; 5-axis experience is a plus

Must take pride in craftsmanship

Knowledgeable in safe general machining practices

Well-versed in tool selection, speeds and feeds, job setup, blueprint navigation, GD&T, and fixturing

Experience with various gaging equipment and inspection techniques

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Ability to pass a thorough pre-employment background check
