Job Description

LOCAL CDL DRIVER ($34 - $38 PER HOUR DOE - FULL TIME)

Southwest Mobile Storage in Denver is looking two expert CDL-A driver. You are the eyes, ears and heart of our business, connecting operations and sales to provide the best service to our customers. As a Southwest Mobile Storage driver, you’ll be in charge of your own driving time management. We’re a team-oriented company, so there will be times when you’ll be asked to adjust your route or delivery schedule and use your own independent judgement.

Responsibilities:

Safely transport storage ready and refurbished overseas containers to and from our main yard to customer locations in Denver and throughout Colorado (this position is not considered an “over-the-road” driving structure)

Use chains, straps, and winch to secure equipment on to the truck

Survey the customers’ property for obstruction, and advise if needed on the placement of the container

May be asked to interact with our customers, building relationships throughout your territory

Work with our internal office and yard staff to ensure safety, customer satisfaction and quality control

Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Qualifications:

Must be able to drive a 10-speed manual transmission

Monday through Friday availability 6am – 4pm

2 years’ recent CDL Class A

Valid medical certificate and physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle

At least 21 years of age

Must possess good dexterity in shoulders, lower back and knees

High school diploma or GED

Very proficient in the English language.

Authorized for employment in the United States (sponsorships not available)

Ability to pass 10 panel drug test, thorough background screening and MVR

Preferred Skills Needed for Success:

Prior experience with a heavy duty 10-wheel rollback winch truck with hydraulic tilt bed a plus

Towing experience a plus

Landoll trailer experience helpful

Be punctual and reliable

Have a safety-oriented mind set
