Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management and execution of construction projects. This position involves collaborating with the Superintendent to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and proficiency in various construction management software.

Duties

Assist in overseeing daily operations on the construction site to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Manage subcontractors and coordinate their activities to maintain project schedules.

Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project documentation and communication.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement solutions.

Support budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and managing contracts effectively.

Collaborate with project stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and address any concerns promptly.

Train and supervise junior staff members, fostering a productive work environment.

Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical work as needed, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.

Maintain accurate records of project developments, including timelines and resource allocation.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction management or a related field.

Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., ProCore) and familiarity with Bluebeam for project documentation.

Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.

Knowledge of budgeting processes and contract management within the construction industry.

Ability to navigate complex project pipelines while maintaining attention to detail.

Familiarity with various tools and equipment used on construction sites, including an Ohmmeter.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on collaboration.
