Virginia Eagle Distributing Company is currently hiring for a full time 2nd shift Evening Warehouse Supervisor at our Springfield location. 4 day work week Monday - Thursday which gives you a 3 day weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)!
This is a 4 day schedule. Monday - Thursday, Second (2nd) Shift 11:30am to close
Manage the operations of second shift in the warehouse. Supervise and direct second shift team to complete the building of all orders and the loading of trucks for the following day’s delivery. Ensure all VED and ABI company equity agreement standards are followed and executed. Maintain operation and warehouse maintenance and sanitation standards. Provide accurate and timely communication with the warehouse manager with any operational concerns, personnel issues, fleet issues or other pertinent information that could impact the following shift. Maintain a working knowledge of VED’s route accounting software and applications.
Minimum Requirements:
Prefer a valid Class A commercial driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must maintain forklift certification and be able to operate various makes/models of lift trucks including forklift and pallet jack.
Must be able to lift and carry, including overhead lifting, 15-40 pounds or more on a repetitive basis during a 10 to 15-hour day with frequent bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and sitting.
Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather and/or temperature conditions.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must possess excellent math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and deductive reasoning skills.
Must possess MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook and specific beer wholesaler and Anheuser-Busch software operating capabilities.
Must be able to navigate the Internet and various propriety websites.
Must possess the ability to communicate utilizing the English language in verbal and written form.
Must not have a criminal history with a felony conviction or plead of no contest to a felony.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
