Senior Scientist - BioPharmaceutical Services

Job Description

RJ Lee Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist to support the expansion of our BioPharmaceutical analytical services division. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with project leadership and customer engagement responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with cGMP and other regulatory standards while supporting the delivery of high-quality analytical testing to clients across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and biomedical device industries. This position offers the opportunity to shape the growth of a dynamic business unit serving a diverse range of highly regulated markets.

This is not a remote work position.

Key Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in relevant field, such as biomaterials, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, etc.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a biopharmaceutical role – lab, QA, project management, etc

Expertise in a range of analytical techniques and knowledge of how and when to apply them. Examples include but are not limited to FTIR, TGA/DSC, GCMS, LCMS, SEM, etc.

Experience working in a GMP role.

Detailed understanding of relevant QA requirements for GMP laboratory analysis.

Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision or as part of a team.

Familiarity with the Biopharmaceutical industry broadly speaking

Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, while also contributing effectively in cross-functional teams.

Strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and regulatory expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading or supporting multi-year client programs or method development/validation studies.

Familiarity with ISO 17025, FDA, and state/national accreditation processes.

Prior involvement in client-facing technical roles or business development support.

Willingness to travel and flexibility to work occasional extended hours as project needs dictate.
