QA Engineer (SDET) API Testing & Integration

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with SDET capabilities, specializing in API testing, API integration, and webhook validation. You will be responsible for building robust automated test frameworks, performing end-to-end API and integration testing, and ensuring high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using SDET best practices.

Perform manual and automated testing of RESTful and SOAP APIs.

Validate API integrations with external and internal systems, ensuring data consistency and performance.

Set up and test webhook-based workflows, ensuring proper event triggers and payload accuracy.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to identify and resolve issues.

Use tools like Postman, Swagger, JMeter, or RestAssured for API testing.

Implement CI/CD testing pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Participate in agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in QA engineering with a strong SDET background.

Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, Swagger).

Experience validating webhook integrations and event-driven architectures.

Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, Java, or JavaScript.

Strong understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, XML, and authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).

Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Git, JIRA, and TestRail.
