Network Solutions Architect

Description

The client is seeking a highly skilled Network Solutions Architect to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable network solutions that align with our business objectives and ensure security, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network architecture, cloud integration, and security protocols.

Responsibilities:

+ Network Design and Implementation: Design LANs, WANs, data center networks, wireless networks, and hybrid cloud networks. Document network flows, configurations, diagrams, and procedures to ensure consistency and facilitate knowledge transfer.

+ Security Management: Implement network security techniques such as segmentation, access control lists (ACLs), encryption, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security policies.

+ Integration: Seamlessly integrate network infrastructure with other IT systems and services, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.

+ Innovation and Efficiency: Research industry trends and modern technologies to identify opportunities for innovation. Develop new practices and processes using network automation principles, software vendor APIs, and custom scripting/programming to increase efficiency.

+ Project Analysis: Analyze project requirements and solution designs to ensure they are functionally appropriate, technically valid, and well-integrated with on-premises and cloud environments.

+ Leadership and Collaboration: Execute the network leadership’s vision, collaborate with SMEs and business owners, and facilitate decision-making with stakeholders and peers.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system analysis, or related field, or equivalent experience.

+ Experience: Minimum of six years in IT design and implementation, with deep knowledge in infrastructure and network design, and security.

+ Skills:

+ Strong understanding of project management, agile principles, and development methodologies.

+ Experience delivering presentations to senior -level executives and technical audiences.

+ Exposure to diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments.

+ Skilled at collaborating with SMEs and business owners, following guidelines, and facilitating decision-making.

Technical Skills:

+ Network Protocols: Expertise in networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP.

+ Network Hardware: Proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls.

+ Cloud Services: Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.

+ Security Tools: Knowledge of IDS/IPS, VPNs, ACLs, encryption methods.

+ Automation: Familiarity with network automation principles, software vendor APIs, and custom scripting/programming.

Description:

6 Month Contract to Hire for the right person. Hybrid - onsite 3-4 days a week.

Salary upon conversion: $94K - $124K. Higher end tied to education and years of experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $70.00/hr.
