Automotive Technician

**Automotive Technician/Mechanic $20-30/hr.**

**Job Description**

Join our team as an Automotive Technician with a renowned distributor that has been in business since 1848. We are seeking an individual with a mechanical background in automotive, diesel, or industrial maintenance to contribute to our dynamic and skilled workforce.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assemble and install equipment such as service bodies, platforms, van packages, hoists, electrical components and circuits, shelving and drawer systems, ladder racks, and other mechanical items.

+ Read work instructions and installation materials to properly assemble equipment.

+ Test performance before delivering units for a final audit.

**Essential Skills**

+ Mechanical aptitude

+ Troubleshooting

+ Engine knowledge

+ Blueprint reading

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Mechanical experience in automotive, diesel, or industrial maintenance

**Work Environment**

Work on brand new vehicles such as dump trucks, domestic chassis, cargo vans, and pickup trucks (350, 450, etc.). The shift is from 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Ohio. This is a long term opportunity!

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
