Large, private company has an opening for a mobile, in-the-field Area Service Technician, to cover the SE Ohio area (Columbus and surrounding areas).

Seeking experienced mobile field mechanic to provide service technician support and equipment diagnostics in the SE Ohio territory. The Area Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing specialized pavement preservation equipment including company rental fleets and customer equipment in the field across their designated territory. Additionally, responsible for the routine and preventative maintenance of company rental fleet units, as needed. Area Service Technicians conduct diagnosis, repair work and are knowledgeable with all equipment product lines such as crack sealing melters, mastic melters, sealcoaters, and pavement routers. They consistently deliver a positive customer experience, anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, provide solutions, and execute high quality work consistently.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED; technical certifications desirable

Minimum 5+ years related work experience

Completed advanced Service Technician training programs (or proven equivalency)

Advanced mechanical aptitude and familiarity with variety of tools and their safe use/operation

Knowledgeable with all equipment product lines manufactured or resold by the company

Valid US Driver's License with acceptable driving history. Physically able to drive long hours both in and out of state, and may require odd or long work hours/days.

Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve while working under pressure or with deadlines

Ability to work independently, be self-directed and take initiative in prioritizing and executing work responsibilities

Physical ability to perform job functions including but not limited to: standing, sitting, bending, squatting, or remaining in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time, lifting/moving large, bulky and/or heavy items (50 lbs. or more) frequently, working in adverse conditions including hot/cold both indoors and outdoors and/or in inclement weather

Must possess a high degree of safety-awareness

Display and encourage a positive attitude, work well with others

Desire to support customer's needs and provide outstanding service and deliver quality work

Ability for local travel, as needed
