Position Summary:
Load and deliver material handling equipment in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Functions:
Inspect and operate tractor-trailer truck safely and in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws.
Inspect equipment and tie down loads safely and securely; cover with rain protection as necessary.
Maintain accurate, updated records, logs, and required files as required.
Inspect customers' facilities before unloading to ensure proper clearances, heights, widths, and a suitable loading spot.
Inspect Malin equipment at customers' facilities before loading; photograph and document any damage.
Immediate report and document any accident, near-miss incident, or traffic violation to the Transportation Manager.
Gas and perform routine maintenance and make minor repairs as required; arrange for major repairs if needed after consulting with the Transportation Manager.
Inspect trucks daily and at scheduled maintenance intervals; keep truck clean and presentable at all times.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Professional Experience:
Two or more years' experience driving tractor-trailer trucks with 40,000 lbs. or greater.
Basic knowledge of DOT and Railroad Commission regulations.
Class A CDL license with a stellar driving record.
Must have Over Size/Over Weight permit experience.
HAZMAT endorsement a plus, or must be willing to obtain HAZMAT.
Physical Requirements:
Pass DOT physical, be drug-free, and lift 40-50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Be able to drive all day plus overtime within the city as well as over-the-road to other regional areas as assigned.
Use a "Smart Phone" to communicate with local branches and destinations as needed when not operating a vehicle.
Loading and unloading at ground level required for this position.
