In our organization, the role of Lean Process Engineer stands as a cornerstone of efficiency and innovation. As a key member in this position, you'll drive optimization of assembly operations through precise ERP management and comprehensive support in engineering and quality efforts.
Champion continuous improvement by implementing strategies for tooling, capital investments, defect mitigation, and educational initiatives. Your focus will encompass using 5S and Lean practices to uncover inefficiencies, analyze data, and apply effective solutions, fostering improvements in product quality and operational output. Collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams to spearhead process alterations and achieve significant cost efficiencies.
Core Functions:
Design detailed work instructions derived from engineering blueprints and specs.
Conduct quality assurance exercises like RCCA, APQP with necessary documentation such as CAs, 8D, etc.
Develop and enhance Epicor ERP records including item masters, BOMs, routing information.
Identify and propose capital improvement alternatives with new equipment advisements.
Implement methods such as 5S, Six Sigma for comprehensive data collection and strategic decision-making guidance.
Explore waste reduction strategies to refine processes and bolster efficiency.
Prerequisites:
Possess 4-5 years of experience in aerospace/aviation manufacturing landscapes.
Completed bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent field.
Intermediate computer literacy competence.
A background check and drug screen are contingent upon hiring.
Expertise:
Familiarity with GD&T, Data Analysis
Expertise in Continuous Improvement, PFMEA, and APQP
Advanced Six Sigma methodology proficiency
Superior Communication Skills
Depth in Manufacturing Environment and Root Cause Analysis
Proficient in Process Development and Blueprint Analysis
Tool Exposure:
Proficient in utilizing ERP Software
