As a Salesforce Senior Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and implementing Salesforce applications to enhance our business functionality and improve user experience. You will work closely with our marketing, sales and dental insurance operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. In this role you will be responsible for the participating in the development life cycle from participating in requirements refinement to deployment and maintenance. You will also be responsible for mentoring other Salesforce developers.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical expert on Salesforce.com implementations

Design elegant user experiences, utilizing advanced functionality, while ensuring long-term maintainability. Develop, test, deploy and maintain high-quality solutions

Work closely with Team Lead and Solution Architect to develop these solutions

Create technical specifications for new projects based on business unit requirements. Make recommendations to the business unit.

Administrator work will also be required, i.e. managing user permissions and access

Provide technical support to business units by answering questions about product features or helping with use cases. This may include training

Provide recommendations for Salesforce process improvements

Operate within the devops process, create roll back contingencies and manage backup solutions

Handle multiple projects simultaneously

Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers

Communicates work progress and status to the Team Lead

Manage applications after they have been launched to ensure that they are performing as expected

Create and maintain documentation for new and existing applications to ensure that business units and other members of the development team can effectively use them

Participates in sessions, presentations and meetings

Learn new/enhanced features and grow your Salesforce expertise

Mentor less-experience ed roles with responsibility for their technical development

Stay up to date on Salesforce releases and new/enhanced features related to declarative development tools

Technical skills

Write Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and components

Maintain 90% code coverage with appropriate assertions

Design and develop Lightening Web Component based solutions, Reusable across lightening pages, flows and external sites

Collaborate with app builders and administrators, blending declarative and programmatic capabilities, to develop well rounded solutions

Assess security vulnerabilities, manage Salesforce Shield configuration and ensure code compliance

Collaborate with data teams across the organization to use middleware tools and design effective data flows or application integrations

Independently build advanced batch and real time services for pushing/pulling data to/from other systems

Adhere to coding standards, deployment governance and best practices

Communication skills

Ability to train and mentor junior team members

Communicate with business units and other Salesforce developers to solve problems and answer questions

Collaboration with multiple cross-functional team members and stakeholders

Ability to train the business partners on functionality

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and/or 6+ years equivalent work experience

Minimum of 6+ years Salesforce development experience preferred.

2 years of leading a group of developers preferred.

Minimum five years of experience working with Apex, LWC, Java and/or Javascript as well as Lightening Web Components and Flows

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II required

Salesforce Administrator certified required

Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder required

Salesforce Certified Administrator required

Proven ability to design and develop scalable programmatic solutions in an enterprise environment.

Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to configure custom objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of advanced complexity.

Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.

Experience working with the Salesforce APIs and building services to connect Salesforce with other systems.

Experience developing within a framework and complying with defined standards.

Familiarity with event driven development preferred.

Experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.

Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.

Experience managing third party resources

Understanding of end-user needs and requirements

Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.

A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.

Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms

Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

The annual base salary range for this position is $106,041 - $149,479 USD.
