Job Description:
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our technology infrastructure.
Education:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide First-Level Technical Support: Offer prompt and effective technical assistance to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues, including WiFi connectivity problems.
Device Setup and Configuration: Assist with setting up and configuring devices, including but not limited to Chromebooks, and ensuring proper WiFi connectivity.
Knowledge Base Maintenance: Develop and maintain a knowledge base to document common technology issues and their solutions, making troubleshooting more efficient.
Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory, including Chromebooks and other devices, ensuring they are properly maintained.
A/V Technician Support: Provide technical assistance for audiovisual equipment setup and operation as needed.
Chromebook Repairs: Perform maintenance and repairs on Chromebooks, including fixing screens, keyboards, mouse pads, and other hardware components.
Printer Support: Assist with printer-related issues, ensuring smooth operation.
Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and District Personnel, as necessary to resolve complex issues and projects.
Other Duties: Be flexible and willing to take on other technology-related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Physical Stamina: The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortably stand or sit for extended periods is essential for this position. You will be required to perform various tasks that may involve physical exertion and extended periods of time on your feet.
Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in using computer systems and software is a must. You should be comfortable with technology and capable of sitting at a computer for extended durations while performing technical support tasks.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in maintaining Active Directory, SCCM, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Azure.
Network Proficiency: Be able to understand routing and switching protocols, troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including but not limited to LAN and WIFI.
Cybersecurity Knowledge: Must have a basic understanding of cybersecurity protocols, including common security practices, threat prevention, and data protection measures.

Problem-Solving Abilities: A keen analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills are crucial in troubleshooting hardware and software issues effectively. The ability to think on your feet and find creative solutions is highly valued.
Team Player: While you may be required to work independently at times, teamwork is a key component of this role. Collaboration with colleagues and the ability to work cohesively within a team is essential to ensure efficient technology support.

Background Check: The successful candidate will be subject to a background check in accordance with our district’s policies and relevant regulations.
Transportation: Reliable transportation
Hours: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year; 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $22.00-$24.00 based on experience

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use fingers, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
