Deterco/Houston Precision, Inc. is always looking for new talent to join our growing organization.

Full-Time Entry-Level Calibration Technician.

Experience with hand tools, such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, and other metrology equipment a plus.

An extensive, self-paced training program will be provided to establish the technician's role into a productive career in Metrology, Instrumentation, and Quality. This training consists of hands-on, On-The-Job training to perform calibrations.

Job Responsibility:

Calibration and repair of hand tools

Record data gathered during calibration

Identify out of tolerance conditions

Interact with other technician, customer service reps and customers.

Qualifications:

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent

Must be able to perform general math functions

Must possess good written and oral, communications skills

Basic ability to troubleshoot repair, align and optimize precision equipment

Basic computer skills

Proficient in use of MS Word and Excel

We have several technicians on staff who were hired with little or no previous calibration experience who are successful based on their willingness to apply the effort and possess the aptitude to learn. Each candidate's training progression is monitored by supervisors and Lab Managers for goals, accomplishments and timely progress. Entry-Level technicians are required to complete prescribed training within a timely manner which is usually 1 year.
