Job Description

Estimator

Assist in development of program, schematic, design development and construction document cost estimates as appropriate to each project. Assist in coordination of the design and bidding process with the project teams. Update and maintain cost history database. Review projects with the team after completion to implement improvements.

Prepare bid advertisements and solicit bidders

Assist in preparing bid package work scopes and bid documents

Upload and maintain bid documents for distribution to bidders

Preform detailed quantity takeoffs, estimates and cost recaps

Maintain and update master bidders list and project bidders lists

Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Write and coordinate RFI’s to clarify prebid questions

Assist with entitlement processes including coordination of jurisdictional reviews, permitting, and brand compliance

Review of subcontractor bid proposals for accuracy and bid tabulation

Assist in award of subcontracts and purchase orders

Assist in design development coordination, constructability reviews, and value analysis efforts

Maintain and update master work scope templates

Job Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Construction related field, or equivalent experience in Commercial Construction

1-3+ years experience in commercial estimating (any experience with hotels, senior livings, casinos, automotive dealerships, and/or multifamily projects is preferred)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Planswift/On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam Revu, and Procore is preferred.
