Job Description: Site Supervisor
Pay: starting @ $27.00 per hour more would be based on qualifications
Site Supervisors may oversee multiple new home builds, as well as several home repair jobs at any given time and also work as part of the construction team alongside Habitat volunteers and Partner Families.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Should possess a minimum of two years of field supervision experience or its equivalent.
Have experience in the building trades and possess a solid working knowledge of all facets of Construction.
Ability to work well with both skilled and unskilled labor, volunteers, people in business, trades, government and the faith community.
Comfortable speaking to small groups of workers and volunteers.
Excellent people skills with the ability to lead.
Supervision Received:
The Site Supervisor will report to and be accountable to the Director of Construction.
Hours of Duty:
Availability Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time or as needed based on workflow and volunteer scheduling, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Site supervisors monitor the progress of construction and/or home repair projects and ensure compliance with construction safety regulations. Site supervisors work with staff, subcontractors and Habitat volunteers on site safety practices. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Site Supervisor are as follows:
On-site oversight, leadership, and management of all labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Knowledge of building codes.
Ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures as well as safety objectives.
Preparing and maintaining the project schedule detailing all work activities, material and equipment deliveries and milestone dates to meet scheduled completion dates.
Coordinating the installation of utility services with the local utility companies.
Completion of daily reports and field documentation to accurately document the project progress.
Daily coordination and inspection of subcontracted work for conformance with the plans, specifications, and home plans.
Develop and maintain schedules, arrange for inspections and ensure construction quality.
Work with daily volunteers and partner families assigning tasks and teaching skills to perform construction tasks and ensure on-site safety.
Monitor and ensure construction site cleanliness and orderliness and eliminate waste.
Proficient with home building software as well as Microsoft business products.
