Barista

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers with a positive attitude and provide prompt, courteous service.

Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages that meet quality standards.

Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders.

Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and customer areas.

Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

Restock and replenish food, drink, and merchandise displays as needed.

Answer customer questions regarding menu items and make recommendations.

Work as part of a team to ensure a smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a café or food service environment preferred, but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Basic math and cash handling skills.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.
