VTS is a vehicle testing company supporting the development, validation and certification of conventional and electric vehicles. VTS has 2 certification grade environmental test cells (-35C to 50C), a large thermal chamber and 9 vehicle mileage accumulation dynamometers which operate 24/7 for our OEM customers in both the passenger car and commercial vehicle industries. We have quickly emerged as strategic development partner for many of the OEMs entering the electrified vehicle marketplace purely as a result of our commitment to building a great team.

Role Overview:

The General Manager of the Venshure Test Services is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operational success of the facility. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual with a strong background in automotive engineering, project management, and facility management. Additionally, this role requires interaction with Finance, Health & Safety and Sales functions in concert with Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Leadership:

• Develop and implement the facility's strategic plan, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.

• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.

• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages employee engagement and professional growth.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.

• Support adoption and deployment of ABD Group policies.

Operational Excellence:

• Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, repair, and calibration of testing equipment.

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility, adhering to all safety regulations and industry best practices.

• Manage the facility's budget, including capital expenditures, operating expenses, and resource allocation.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall facility performance.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding their unique testing needs and providing exceptional service.

• Collaborate with customers to develop and execute customized testing programs.

• Ensure customer satisfaction and proactively address any concerns or issues.

Project Management:

• Oversee the planning and execution of all testing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress and results.

Technical Expertise:

• Maintain a strong understanding of automotive engineering principles, testing methodologies, and industry standards.

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in vehicle testing technology and industry trends.

• Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering and technical teams.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Behaviours

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with a strong background in vehicle testing and evaluation.

• Proven experience in managing and leading high-performing teams.

• Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and budget development / management.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in relevant software applications, including data analysis and project management tools.

• Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 or other relevant quality management systems is a plus.
