NOW HIRING! A-Line is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Laboratory Administrative Professional to support administrative functions within a fast-paced laboratory environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a background in administrative or secretarial work. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and smooth operational workflows.
Job Title: Laboratory Administrative Professional
Location: Reynoldsburg, OH
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Follow up on returned mail and update provider lists.
Print PatientCare letters and prepare them for mailing.
Review failed faxes in the RightFax log and resend as needed.
Contact hospital Newborn Screening (NBS) coordinators for missing demographic information.
Enter demographic data for Religious Objections and Missed NBS reports.
Monitor and close Inconclusive cases once repeat screens or corrected demographics are received.
Send out result requests to physicians.
Administrative Duties (Illustrative Examples):
Prepare reports and correspondence, respond to inquiries, and assist with budget or personnel tracking.
Represent your team or supervisor at meetings, communicate directives, and support interdepartmental tasks.
Perform secretarial tasks such as maintaining confidential files, managing calendars, and handling sensitive calls.
Provide general clerical support including processing mail, managing office supplies, and maintaining records.
Qualifications:
Completion of associate-level coursework in secretarial science or business office applications (from an accredited career school or community college).
At least 1 year of experience in a secretarial or administrative professional role.
Required Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business software.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document handling.
Familiarity with records management, budgeting, and general office procedures.
