CAD/CAM Operator - Glazing Industry

Emmitsburg Glass Company is currently seeking a full-time AutoCad operator with the following skills:

solutions, specializing in Storefront, Curtainwall, All Glass Entrances, and Composite Panel systems. With

we undertake. We are currently seeking a talented CAD/CAM Operator to join our dynamic team and

contribute to our continued success.

Position Overview: As a CAD/CAM Operator at EGC, you will play a crucial role in the design and

production process of our glazing products. Utilizing advanced CAD/CAM software and equipment, you

will be responsible for translating design specifications into precise manufacturing instructions. Your

attention to detail and technical expertise will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our production

processes, ultimately contributing to the delivery of superior-quality glazing solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Project managers, Engineers, and Field and Shop Superintendents to interpret project

requirements and develop accurate technical drawings.

Create detailed 2D and some 3D models of glazing components and assemblies using Autocad.

Generate CNC programs and toolpaths for automated cutting, shaping, and machining of glass,

aluminum, and other materials.

Perform material optimization and nesting to maximize efficiency and minimize waste during

production.

Inspect drawings for accuracy and consistency to maintain quality of documentation.

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to CAD/CAM software and equipment.

Maintain organized documentation and records of design revisions, project specifications, and

production schedules.

Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless integration of CAD/CAM designs into the

manufacturing process.

Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in CAD/CAM technology.

Qualifications:

Proficiency Autocad and familiarity with CNC processes and operations.

Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively, self sufficient and motivated to learn.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies in CAD/CAM design.
