Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Carpenters Helpers to join our team on a new build construction site. You will assist experienced carpenters with tasks such as setting and installing windows, hanging exterior doors, and applying house wrap to protect exterior wall framing from weather. This role requires working at heights with safety measures provided.

Responsibilities

Assist carpenters with daily tasks on the construction site.

Set and install windows.

Hang exterior doors.

Apply house wrap to protect exterior walls from weather.

Work with hand and power tools.

Read and interpret blueprints.

Perform general labor duties as needed.

Ensure safety protocols are followed, especially when working at heights.

Essential Skills

6+ months of construction or general labor experience.

Experience working on ladders and awareness of basic ladder safety.

Ability to lift 75 lbs routinely.

Proficiency with basic hand tools such as a hammer, square, tape measure, and utility knife.

Ability to carry a 36-foot extension ladder.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

OSHA 10 Certification.

1 year of Trade School.

3 years of experience in construction.

High school diploma (some trade school preferred).

Work Environment

Work will be performed on commercial properties, primarily on 36-foot ladders. Candidates must be comfortable with heights. The job locations vary based on candidate location, covering areas across the Twin Cities metro. Typical work hours are from early morning to late afternoon, with no work in negative degree weather. This role offers year-round work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waverly, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr.
