The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and inspiring Head of Engineering to spearhead the technical vision and execution for our rapidly growing, mission-driven platform. You'll lead a talented in-house engineering team, collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure a world-class user experience at scale. You will define the technical roadmap, drive innovation, including AI/ML integration, and cultivate a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture while making a tangible impact on Good Inside's mission.
This is a hybrid role with three days a week onsite at our office in Midtown Manhattan.
What You'll Own
Define and execute the technical roadmap in partnership with Product and Design, ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, performant, and modern.
Lead and grow a high-performing engineering organization across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and mobile development.
Implement and continuously improve engineering best practices, workflows, and processes to increase velocity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Drive innovation across the platform, including AI/ML integration for content personalization and coaching tools.
Oversee system architecture and long-term platform evolution, balancing immediate product needs with long-term scalability.
Partner cross-functionally to ensure engineering efforts align with business goals, data needs, and user experience priorities.
Manage infrastructure, security, compliance, and technical risk in line with industry best practices and evolving regulatory standards.
Foster a collaborative, mission-aligned engineering culture grounded in transparency, accountability, and continuous learning. Your Skills & Experience
10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
Proven success scaling engineering teams and systems in growth-stage consumer tech companies or mission-driven digital platforms.
Hands-on experience overseeing mobile and web product development, as well as backend systems, infrastructure, and DevOps.
Demonstrated ability to build high-quality engineering organizations that deliver reliably at scale.
Strong architectural judgment and a practical approach to balancing speed with long-term maintainability.
Experience with AI/ML integration or personalization engines is a plus.
Passion for emotionally intelligent leadership, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication skills and comfort working in highly cross-functional environments.
Prior exposure to consumer content, healthtech, edtech, wellness, or community-driven platforms is a plus. A Great Candidate...

Competitive Compensation: base salary for this role will be $275,000 - $300,000 annually
