Our medical insurance client, Client Cross Association (BCBSA) in Chicago, IL. BCBSA provides national account health insurance access to large corporations in addition to the U.S. federal government including the Dept. of Defense (DoD). There is no government clearance needed for this role. BCBSA is seeking a Back-End API Developer with a completed bachelor's degree and professional health insurance industry background, along with 2+ years' experience in hands-on back-end development tasks with API solutions in Java, Python, Oracle, SQL, Azure cloud and familiarity with CyberArk Identity Access Management (IAM). We're seeking a developer to automate IAM network security workflows by developing, building, and testing scripts. The objective of the Back-End API Developer role is to build and maintain the server-side operations in APIs and ensure functionality of BCBSA's web applications along with their mobile platforms to require facial-authentication access into BCBSA systems. BCBSA requests a client-facing Back-End API Developer who can demonstrate database layers, API's and integrations performed to achieve a secure facial recognition process into systems. Our client BCBSA requires a weekly hybrid schedule of one day on-site in their Chicago, IL office, and four days remote. This is a 60-day contract (w/ possible extension), starting Monday, September 25, 2023.

The two-step interview process begins with a regular phone call from BCBSA's HR Dept., then you would perform a final MS Teams video interview including an open-source Java exercise. The final interview is hosted by the BCBSA Project Manager and two members of the Development Team. An offer letter is anticipated by September 18 to start the role on September 25, 2023.

The max C2C rate is $60/hour (NON-NEGOTIABLE).

Job Description:

Responsible for building and maintaining the server-side operation, APIs, and functionality of web application portal or mobile application. Candidate will develop and maintain IAM automation workflows connecting database layer, APIs, Integration with other APIs and web services. Candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in modern programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Java, and will have experience with API gateway and web frameworks. Candidate may have at least a Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, programming, or equivalent, an understanding of object-oriented programming, proficiency with languages such as Java, TypeScript, SQL server, Oracle, SQL, and Python related build tools, code versioning and build tools such as GIT and Jenkins, application servers like Tomcat, Node.js, or AWS Lambda functions, API Gateways such as Apigee, and cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP.

The successful candidate will have IAM specific skills are preferred to include experience with Identity Governance and Administration (SailPoint), Privileged Access Management (CyberArk), Identity Management (Okta, AWS IAM, AD, Azure AD).

Deliverable: Automate IAM workflows by developing, building, and testing scripts.
