Payroll Processor

FlexTek has teamed up with one of the leading transportation companies in the Houston area that is looking to add a Payroll Processor to their team. My client is looking for a team player that is able to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy. The individual in this position will be part of a team responsible for processing payroll functions for over 15,000 employees (domestic & international). This is a direct-hire role and fully in-office M-F located in Sugar Land, TX.

Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred

Experience with Puerto Rico & California

Union payroll

Requirements

3+ years of high volume, multistate payroll experience

Has processed payroll for 3000+ employees

Full cycle payroll experience

Doing FULL process- gross to net.

Knowledge of time and attendance

Understands payroll processes and can explain how it was done in their previous role.

Understands why payroll processing is important and will follow best practices.

Needs to understand time management and be tentative to detail.

Main Job Functions

Processing payroll for 10K+ employees working with a team.

Working with unions and understanding their benefits.

Verify timekeeping records and handle discrepancies.

Ensure that employees are paid on time and deadlines are met.

Payroll adjustments including, vacation, sick, and other time off.

Collect banking information for direct deposits.

Change employee tax statuses.

Conduct semi-annual audits of all payroll records.

Set up and terminate employees in the payroll system.

Processing garnishments and other deductions.

Canadian processing experience is a plus (not required)

Ensuring payment and reconciliations for local, state, and federal tax jurisdictions.
