We are experiencing remarkable growth, with 20x month-over-month revenue increases, robust support from top-tier investors (Pear VC led our last fundraising round), and a founder with extensive experience in both the healthcare field and product development (ex-Flatiron, former caregiver, and product leader in oncology).

The Role

As our Founding Frontend Developer/Lead, you will be responsible for every aspect of UI/UX and frontend architecture. Your work will directly enhance the product experience for patients, caregivers, and clinicians facing serious illness—from designing systems to achieving pixel-perfect implementations. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with product management and design teams to infuse empathy, precision, and performance into every interaction.

This role is not just about executing predetermined specifications; you will be a vital thought partner in product decision-making, and your code will significantly influence how users experience care.

What You'll Own

Full ownership of the frontend stack—React, TypeScript, design systems, testing, and performance

Transform complex care workflows into user-friendly interfaces while considering real-world constraints

Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to create a cohesive and thoughtful UX

Establish high standards for quality, performance, and accessibility

Influence how we scale: systems, processes, and future team members

You Might Be a Fit If

You have experience building and launching products at the seed or Series A stage (ideally 0-1)

You thrive in environments with high ownership and minimal bureaucracy—collaborating on product decisions with ease

You are proficient in frontend development—React and TypeScript are your primary tools

You pay close attention to detail, think systematically, and are deeply committed to user experience

You are based in the San Francisco area and are motivated by being present in a fast-paced team environment

You feel a personal connection to our mission—possibly due to your own experiences with cancer

Bonus: Experience in building design systems, leading performance/debugging initiatives, or contributing to accessibility best practices is a plus.
