The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay welcomes your application for the Retail Operations Manager. Reporting to the Phoenix Store Manager, this position provides direct support for both the Phoenix Store operations and oversees all aspects of the Phoenix Club food service operations. This position will also provide back-up support for on-campus events.
What You'll Do
Supervises, trains, and/or directs daily operations of staff and a retail facility to adhere to established standards
Audits and maintains retail inventory and completes orders for new products when necessary
Provides, monitors, and evaluates customer service of retail staff and engages guests by providing information and resolving customer issues and concerns
Operates and monitors cash handling equipment and related functions; and performs routine financial management activities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent at time of application
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse customer population
Demonstrated experience leading entry level employees
Demonstrated customer service skills
Demonstrate strong communication skills
ServSafe Certified or ability to get certified upon appointment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree with 2+ years of professional experience or Bachelor's degree
Experience hiring, training and supervising student staff
Experience working in a retail and/or food service environment
Experience working at a college or university environment The Successful Candidate

Conditions of Appointment
Position is a full-time University Staff appointment. The general work hours for this position will be 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). In addition, if the final selected candidate has prior work history within the last 7 years with Universities of Wisconsin, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct will be completed. A six-month probationary period is required for this position. In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the University does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.

Compensation and Benefits
SALARY INFORMATION
Hourly wage range of $23.08 - $25.96.
This position will earn an additional $0.80 per hour for all weekend hours worked, as well as for all hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
This position is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
BENEFIT DETAILS
The UW System provides an excellent benefits package to meet the diverse needs of its employees. We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The UW System also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.
In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually. Employees earn 13-27 days of vacation each year, depending on years of service and employment type.
