Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.

Our program philosophy is rooted in developing a healthy recovery ecosystem for those seeking long-term recovery. Through strong therapeutic relationships with our clients, helping them to understand the underlying social and emotional issues that drive their substance use, the recovery ecosystem focuses on five key areas:

Family & Recovery Support What we're looking for:

DRP is currently seeking a full-time and a part-time Outreach Driver for the Prevention Team. The Outreach Driver will be responsible for driving the Mobile Outreach Unit's 12-passenger van and accompanying the Team to various locations. This service includes professional interactions, distribution of basic supplies, communicating with service providers and the community and offering support to the participants/employees of DRP. Outreach Drivers for the mobile unit are expected to also assist with Harm Reduction supply distribution and rapid HIV/HCV testing.

Compensation: The pay for this position is $20/hr., and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This is a hourly non-exempt role that is eligible for overtime compensation.

The Ideal candidate will:

Be available to work either a Tuesday- 9am-7pm, Wednesday-12pm-7pm, Thursday- 1pm-7pm, Friday- 9am-5pm or a Tuesday-9am-6:45pm, Wednesday 12pm-6:45pm, Friday 9am-5pm schedule.

Have a Michigan State HIV Tester Certification

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Possess a valid/Current Chauffeur's License and satisfactory drivers record

Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience

Be able to work with minimal supervision

Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented

Be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task

Ensure the vehicle is driven in a safe manner to transport clients seeking shelter services

Adhere to policies and procedures of the program with documentation and statistics kept and entered in a timely manner

Clean and Maintain vehicles

Provide HIV/HCV testing and other services when needed

Ensure all safety practices are maintained

Maintain accurate mileage and maintenance logs for vehicle

Assists with set up and clean-up of the Mobile Outreach Unit as part of the Mobile Outreach Team What's in it for you:
