Primary Skills: Unity (Advanced), XR Technologies (Expert), C# (Expert), VR SDKs (Expert), OO Programming (Advanced) Contract Type: W2 Only Duration: 7+ Months Location: Sunnyvale, CA Pay Range: $90 - $95 Per Hour on W2 Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced XR Software Engineer to join our Future Forward Research group, focusing on creating cutting-edge applications for computer- and robot-assisted medical interventions.

The role involves upgrading existing XR projects, integrating with backend systems, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to design and develop VR, MR applications using the latest XR and surgical robotic hardware.

The candidate should thrive in an agile, focused environment and contribute to high-quality research prototypes and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities: Upgrade the backend of existing XR projects with the latest XR SDKs.

Integrate backend systems with XR software using available APIs and SDKs.

Collaborate with developers and designers to architect modular, scalable software.

Document features and techniques, and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.

Develop, build, and deploy next-generation XR apps for Windows and Android using Unity and C#. Must-Have Skills: Proficient in Unity-based application development.

Experienced with XR technologies and devices (e.g., Meta Quest, Hololens). Strong background in C#, OO programming patterns, and software architecture.

Industry Experience: Experience in the medical or healthcare domain, particularly with computer- and robot-assisted interventions, is highly beneficial but not mandatory.
