Instrumentation and Controls Designer

Selectek is partnering with a company based in Manassas, Virginia  to hire a senior-level Instrumentation and Controls Designer to work on semi-conductor production facilities, data centers and other high-level projects.  Employment Type: Contract - expected to last around one year Location: Manassas, VA Expected Salary Range: $43.00-$76.00 per hour, based on experience and certification Job Duties •  Develop Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology, and panel design including panel layout and I/O wiring diagrams, additionally you’ll specify control and/or monitoring devices and control valves including valve sizing calculations. •   Work closely with client to developed new and edit existing site sequence of operation documents for a wide range of semiconductor equipment.

Reviewing construction submittals and help answering RFI’s. •  Manage demanding project schedules, prepare accurate reports, and demonstrate communication skills. •  Utilize technical expertise to mentor junior team members to help your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward. Job Requirements: •   Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation •   At Least 10 years of I&C Design Experience •   Experience using AutoCAD and Revit •   Understand Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology. •   Understand analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting. •   Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems. •   Experience specifying instruments and creating ISA datasheets. •   Experience reading and writing industrial SOO’s. Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8:00a – 5:00p. Feel free to call Joey Fairbanks  with Selectek at 470.203.9530 for more information on this position or other openings in the area.
