Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to create detailed technical drawings and schematics for low voltage systems, including structured cabling, security systems, PA systems, fire alarms, and AV installations. The ideal candidate is proficient in AutoCAD, has a strong understanding of low voltage systems, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop accurate 2D and 3D drawings for low voltage systems using AutoCAD or similar software.
Be capable of manipulating existing DWG files to create site plans, floor plans, and riser diagrams.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements and specifications.
Prepare wiring diagrams, floor plans, riser diagrams, and equipment layouts.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards (e.g., BICSI, NEC, TIA) and client specifications.
Revise drawings based on feedback and project updates.
Maintain organized documentation and project files.
Assist in creating bill of materials (BOM) and project documentation.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or certification in CAD drafting, electrical design, or related field.
2 years of experience as a CAD drafter, preferably in low voltage systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, Bluebeam, or BIM is a plus.
Knowledge of low voltage systems (e.g., structured cabling, PA, Security, CCTV, access control, fire alarms).
Familiarity with industry standards and codes (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA).
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Skills:
Experience with low voltage system installation or field verification.
Understanding of network infrastructure and telecommunications.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and electrical plans.
