Position Overview
The Dollar Tree / Family Dollar Import team is responsible for managing the international movement of products for delivery to the United States and Canada, handling nearly 90,000 containers yearly. In this role as an Import Logistics Analyst, you will support our rapidly growing import and global sourcing initiatives by coordinating the daily flow of import goods to distribution centers. You will proactively address challenges, serving as a key escalation point for the team while liaising with internal and external partners to help meet our sales goals. You'll play a crucial role in driving operational efficiency, optimizing freight movement, monitoring performance metrics, and providing strategic insights to management.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Issue Resolution: Support the daily operations related to imported goods, including overseeing logistics issues, managing invoicing for ocean carriers, conducting freight audits, and ensuring accuracy in vendor accounts.
Timely and Accurate Deliverables: Create visibility reports, validate freight invoices, analyze shipping trends, and execute projects assigned by the Import management team.
Onboard & Support Logistics Partners: Assist with onboarding logistics partners and meet regularly with stakeholders to address performance issues.
Performance Management: Interface with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure service levels meet expectations, serving as an escalation point for underperforming vendors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with department leaders to recommend enhancements to processes and collaborate on initiatives to improve efficiency within the supply chain.
Qualifications

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Access, SharePoint, and Power BI.
Education & Experience: An undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Merchandising, or a related field with three years of relevant experience OR five years of related experience in these fields.
