Full Stack Developer (Payment Systems)

Job Title: Full Stack Developer - Financial Services (Java, MongoDB, Kafka, Payments)

Locations: (3 onsite/2 offsite): Iselin, NJ; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Chandler, AZ

Pay: $65-75/hr - W2 Only, No C2C

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong background in Java, MongoDB, Kafka, and React UI to join our client's engineering team within the financial services industry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has direct experience with payments systems.

You will work on designing and developing scalable and high-performance solutions that support mission-critical payment operations. Prior experience in financial institutions is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance full-stack applications using Java, React, MongoDB, Kafka, and Message Queues (MQ)

Design and implement high-volume, low-latency solutions for mission-critical systems

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver innovative solutions

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment

Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as needed Required Qualifications:

5+ years of professional software development experience

Strong hands-on experience with:

Java

MongoDB

Kafka

React UI

Message Queuing technologies (e.g., IBM MQ, RabbitMQ)

Prior experience working at a financial institution

Proven experience working on or integrating with payment systems(Ex: wires, ACH, RTP payments)

Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications:

ISO 20022 messaging experience

Experience with microservices architecture

Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
