Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed State of Michigan Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, particularly in commercial settings, and possess the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves performing electrical installations, renovations, and maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
Renovate existing electrical systems to meet current standards and specifications.
Collaborate with other tradespeople during construction projects, including frame carpentry tasks as needed.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and NEC guidelines.
Troubleshoot logic controllers and other automated systems as required.
Document work completed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations. Skills
Proficient in using hand tools and electrical testing equipment (voltmeters, ohmmeters).
Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
Experience as a commercial electrician with a focus on installation and maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics effectively.
Knowledge of renovation processes related to electrical work.
Familiarity with logic controllers is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
