UX Researcher - Android Privacy & Security Hybrid in Mountain View, CA

Location: Hybrid - Mountain View, CA

Contract Type: W2 - 3 Month Contract

Pay Rate: $75-$87/hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Normal PST Business Hours

About the Role:

Russell Tobin is proud to support one of the world's most innovative tech giants in their search for a UX Researcher to join the Android team-supporting a platform that powers over 3 billion devices globally. This role will focus on enhancing Security & Privacy, a core pillar of Android's mission to help users navigate the digital world with confidence.

What You'll Do:

As a UX Researcher embedded within the Android Security & Privacy team, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of user protection and transparency. You will:

Lead user research efforts across multiple Android Security & Privacy initiatives

Apply a wide range of methodologies including usability testing, surveys, contextual inquiries, and longitudinal studies

Deliver actionable insights through compelling reports and presentations to cross-functional partners

Influence product development across all stages- from early ideation to post-launch iteration

What You Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Experience designing and executing research using various qualitative and/or quantitative methods

Applied product research experience in a professional setting

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a relevant field

3+ years of product research experience

Strong mixed methods background with a deep understanding of when to apply different approaches

Ability to clearly communicate research insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
