Position Summary:
The Quality & Safety Technician will work to improve and/or maintain elements of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO Q9001requirements as well as company protocols. This individual will partner with manufacturing, sales and design, and vendors and customers to exceed internal and external customer quality requirements while making suggestions for safety, quality, or improvements in the Plant.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform and document the verification and validation of components and processes in accordance to company procedures and practices
Lead internal audits on the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS)
Responsible for assisting in cost containment/reduction objectives assigned to the Quality department
Develop and maintain Root Cause Analysis procedures to help exceed Customer quality satisfaction
Implement solutions to Corrective and Preventative Actions and ensure that the actions that were taken were effective in resolving root cause
Conduct weekly trainings and communication to supervisors and plant employees on quality complaints and improvements
Act as the go-to for safety incident reporting. Work to implement safety procedures and hold the team accountable to everyone’s safety
Education / Experience:
High School diploma (or HSED/GED)
Requires a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment. Quality experience is a plus
Strong communication and presentation skills is required
Familiarity with corrugated/printing operations is a plus
