About Us:
BayWa r.e. Americas is a leading, fully integrated utility-scale solar, wind, and storage developer in North America, overseeing all aspects of development from site origination through long-term operations and asset management. We currently have a pipeline of projects totaling over 10 GW across the US.
Since 2014, we have brought over 1 GW online and manage over 1 GW. We value long-term partnerships and work closely with local communities and organizations to fund workforce development trainings and scholarship programs, support natural disaster relief efforts, and integrate sustainability and biodiversity measures into our project plans.
Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate intern to join our team. This role is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in renewable energy development, data systems integration, and business operations. The intern will play a crucial role in cataloging and consolidating various sources of information that flow into our reporting and data systems, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
This internship is based in El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities we will trust you with:
Cataloging Information Sources: Identify and document the various sources of information and inputs that flow into our reporting and data systems for project development.
Assessing and Recommending Improvements: Evaluate the current sources and recommend opportunities to consolidate, eliminate, and integrate these into our key systems.
Collaborating with Teams: Work closely with the various teams conduct interviews & surveys, and to implement recommended changes.
Development Support: Gain exposure to and support various development processes and methodologies for a few selected projects in our pipeline.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a rising junior or graduating senior.
Availability to work full-time (40 hours) for at least 10 weeks in the summer of 2025, with a hybrid schedule at least twice a week from our office in El Segundo, CA.
Preference for candidates with demonstrated knowledge or interest in renewable energy.
Proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications including Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Ability to see the big picture while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
A self-starter who can work independently to tackle large problems with fluid facts and circumstances.
Demonstration of strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
