About the role:
Currie & Brown is looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in San Francisco, supporting a major airport terminal renovation and expansion. This is a standout opportunity to lead critical infrastructure work that will elevate the traveler experience and help shape the future of one of the region’s busiest transportation hubs.
As part of our dynamic aviation team, you’ll oversee complex project phases, drive coordination among stakeholders, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of one of the most exciting terminal modernizations in the U.S.
Responsibilities will include:
Lead large-scale terminal renovation and expansion projects from programming through construction and closeout.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including airport authorities, government agencies, designers, contractors, and internal teams.
Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables to ensure alignment with client goals and regulatory compliance.
Manage phased operations to maintain terminal functionality and minimize disruption to airport operations.
Provide leadership and strategic direction to project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment across disciplines.
Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and project updates to senior leadership and client representatives.
Provide support to Grants development team, confirm and document FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) goals and objectives.
Determine the level of environmental review necessary for the project and assist in preparation of required approvals and permits.
Determine construction impacts and identify viable alternatives and mitigations to minimize delays to passenger and flight operations.
Provide Support to Contracts Procurement team for bidding, award process, reporting and closeout.
Provide construction management support to facilitate project construction.
Support project team with LBE (Local business enterprise) and SBE (Small business enterprise) participation goals and commitments.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing complex public facility renovations and expansions (aviation/airport terminal, transportation hubs, hospitals, or similar).
Proven experience in phased construction and maintaining operations in active environments.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, permitting processes, and stakeholder coordination.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s a plus).
PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification preferred.
