JewishColumbus is the only organization in Columbus solely focused on meeting the diverse needs of our Jewish community. As our community grows and evolves, so must our strategy for investing community-raised funds. The Director of Community Planning plays a critical leadership role in shaping how these dollars are strategically directed to create meaningful, measurable impact. This leader will oversee planning efforts to ensure every investment aligns with community priorities and delivers clear outcomes – and manages one direct report, Community Investment Specialist – who supports this work. In partnership with colleagues and stakeholders, the Director will also develop compelling impact metrics and stories—tools that will enable our marketing team to effectively demonstrate the value and results of our work to both the community and our dono

COMMUNITY INVES

TMENT Oversee and implement JewishColumbus’ new investment strategy & pr

ocess.Communicate funding decisions and requirements to all recip

ients.Approve all community investment pay

ments.Develop and evaluate metrics that help JewishColumbus and Partner Agencies assess current conditions, track progress, and adjust outputs to achieve desired out

comes.Utilize these metrics to better clarify JewishColumbus’s distinct community i

mpact.Provide information to Marketing and Development Teams to show impact of community invest

ments.Stay abreast of current and emerging trends that impact the Jewish community and help develop appropriate and timely strategies in res

ponse.Develop trusting partnerships with key stakeholders including convening partners, building coalitions, forging common agendas, organizing community awareness, and leveraging reso

urces.Explore innovative and nontraditional approaches to investing in the community to maximize impact and meet evolving

needs.Work closely with Community Impact Committee (CIC) Chair and JewishColumbus leadership to design the annual framework for partner conversa

tions.

IFICATIONS College Degre

e required Master’s Degree or comparable graduate degree in public administration, non-profit, strategy. or related fiel

d preferredMinimum 8 years of experience in direct management of employees

and teams.Strong understanding of the social, economic, and political landscape of Columbus, OH, with knowledge of the Jewish communit

y preferredWillingness to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
