Description:
The Host is responsible for making sure that the customer has the best possible experience while visiting Alba. Their day-to-day duties and responsibilities include managing bookings (either in person, over the phone, or online) providing wait times to guests, creating a comfortable and hospitable atmosphere for guests that is in line with Alba standards, providing a point of contact for customer feedback and helping to resolve any customer issues, providing personalized service and assistance for large parties of guests and VIPs, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in the front of house area, assisting with the opening and closing of the restaurant, and learning the food and beverage menu to be able to answer guests' questions.
Qualities required:
Have a minimum 1-year experience in hospitality or customer service.
Be friendly, social, and like to interact with staff and guests; Be a team player.
Be very meticulous, efficient, and open to learning and suggestions
Be prompt, reliable, and always carry a gracious and hospitable attitude
Have a working knowledge of food and beverage.
Have a strong personality. Be determined to deliver a detailed and high level of luxury service.
Responsibilities:
Greet and thank guests when arriving and departing.
Direct guests to appropriate locations/events.
Assist with checking bags/coats.
Maintain bathroom cleanliness.
Fold hand towels.
Be knowledgeable in restaurant history/art/information.
Approach guests waiting for reservations and show them to their tables while completing transfers.
Update table statuses accurately and efficiently.
Hand out chits with guest notes to appropriate staff/managers/chefs.
Recognize regular guests/VIPs/Investors.
Answer phone calls at the end of the night when reservations have left.
Maintain cleanliness of front desk and entrance.
Any and all other duties assigned by management.Requirements:
