Solution Architect - .NET/Power Platform

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies to design and implement comprehensive solutions leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Power Platform, .NET, and Data Management solutions. This role requires strong technical knowledge of Microsoft's development and low-code platforms, along with the ability to architect scalable, integrated solutions that address complex business challenges for our federal and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing enterprise solutions that seamlessly integrate Power Platform applications with .NET services and data management systems to deliver robust, secure, and efficient business applications.

Key Responsibilities Microsoft Power Platform Architecture

Design and architect comprehensive business solutions leveraging Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI

Develop solution architectures for both canvas and model-driven Power Apps applications

Create advanced Dataverse data models with complex entity relationships and business rules

Design and implement Power Automate workflows that integrate with multiple systems and services

Architect Power BI solutions that provide actionable insights from enterprise data sources

Implement security models and governance frameworks for Power Platform environments

Develop strategies for extending Power Platform capabilities through custom connectors and PCF components .NET Development and Integration

Design scalable and maintainable .NET applications and services that integrate with Power Platform solutions

Architect microservices and API solutions using .NET Core and Azure Functions

Develop integration patterns between custom .NET applications and Power Platform components

Create custom plugins, workflows, and business logic for Dataverse using .NET

Design authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure system integration

Implement DevOps practices for .NET application development and deployment

Guide development teams on best practices for .NET architecture and coding standards Data Management Solutions

Design comprehensive data architectures that support both operational and analytical needs

Architect SQL Server and Azure SQL solutions for efficient data storage and retrieval

Develop data integration strategies between Dataverse and other enterprise data sources

Design ETL/ELT processes for data warehousing and business intelligence solutions

Implement data governance, security, and compliance controls across the data ecosystem

Create master data management and data quality solutions for enterprise data

Architect hybrid data solutions that span on-premises and cloud environments Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's preferred

6+ years of experience in solution architecture or technical architecture roles

Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse

Strong background in .NET development (C#, ASP.NET Core, Azure Functions)

Deep knowledge of Microsoft data solutions (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse)

Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Power Platform solutions

Proven track record of integrating Power Platform with custom .NET applications and services

Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and integration patterns

Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles

Understanding of federal IT compliance requirements (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST)

Experience with ALM and DevOps practices for Power Platform and .NET applications

Strong technical documentation skills for complex solution architectures

Excellent communication abilities for explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences

Microsoft certifications in relevant technologies (Power Platform, Azure, .NET) preferred

Experience with model-driven app development and Dataverse customization

Understanding of Common Data Model and data integration patterns

U.S. Citizenship required

Must be located in the Washington DC Metro Area

Work Location: Hybrid (Rockville, MD up to 3 days per week)
