What we are looking for:
The Operational Excellence Director will spearhead process improvement initiatives, implementing lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and other best practices to drive operational efficiency and enhance productivity. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, optimize manufacturing processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
What you’ll do:
Examines business processes and workflows to determine how they can be improved or automated, assess business requirements, and make evidence-based recommendations to support process improvements.
Partners with leadership to prioritize improvement opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
Researches and conduct site observations to identify the equipment, methods, and personnel needed for effective processes.
Works closely with operational leaders to identify opportunities for process enhancements.
Provides training and guidance to teams on new processes and how to identify improvement opportunities, building awareness on continual improvement initiatives
Drives the design and implementation of new business processes with organizational context and priorities in mind.
Manages the Hoshin planning process for Solesis and monitors the attainment of the Breakthrough Objectives and the Top Improvement Projects (TIPs).
Standardizes best practices and processes across the organization to ensure consistency and sustainability.
Establishes key performance metrics and dashboards for monitoring operational performance.
Monitors, measures, and analyzes the effectiveness of new initiatives and processes, making adjustments as needed.
Responsible for structuring a large amount of information within a process framework, modeling business processes, and using process/workflow software to create process models.
Facilitates root-cause problem-solving techniques to drive out losses and reduce waste.
Conducts regular operational reviews and audits
Identifies operational risks and develop mitigation plans
Leads cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements.
Documents business process modeling activities for future reference.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in operational roles or continuous improvement positions
Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is preferred
Proven track record of successful process improvement implementation with measurable results
Experience sharing and transferring knowledge to team to create champions of change
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional teams
Strong project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
