has an opening for an Area Service Technician, to cover the SW Ohio - Cincinnati/Dayton area.

The Area Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing specialized pavement preservation equipment including company rental fleets and customer equipment, including advanced or escalated service work.
Additionally, responsible for the routine and preventative maintenance of company rental fleet units.
Senior Service Technicians conduct advanced diagnosis, repair work and are knowledgeable with all equipment product lines manufactured and/or re-sold by Crafco.
They consistently deliver positive customer experience, anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, provide solutions, and execute high quality work consistently within a cross-functional team.

Specific Duties: MECHANICAL: Employee is responsible for productive diagnosis, repair, and replacement of general equipment/vehicle parts and accessories while complying with company safety and customer service programs, as well as established policies and procedures and municipal, state, and federal Perform additional tasks pertaining to oil changes, electric and mechanical repairs on all equipment manufactured by Crafco, Inc.
The employee shall provide technical support for customers who have purchased or will purchase equipment distributed by Crafco, Inc.
Deliver parts, equipment and pallets of material to customers in assigned territory/region.
Delivery shall be carried out with and/or without trailers and will involve, at times, manually unloading boxes weighing 30-40 The delivery tasks may occur on a daily basis.
Delivery may also involve transporting equipment from on-location to another (in and out-of-state) and demonstrate operation of the equipment.
Daily record keeping of sales, customer contacts, mechanical service, parts and technical support with Records shall be provided every week.
Maintain contact with customers within their geographic region of responsibility with frequent visits and/or telephone contact as required to satisfy the customers' needs and Crafco's company goals.
Responsible for supporting all regional sales activities and Territory Managers to increase the sales of Crafco products by working with all government agencies i.e.
states, cities, counties and airports as well as the private sector i.e.
contractors, consulting engineers, etc.
Responsible for Crafco products including but not limited to, all pavement maintenance products and equipment, replacement parts and any other related products for the pavement maintenance sector.
Responsible for supporting service/sales to regional customers under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager.
Assisting with management of the equipment rental fleet, delivering equipment, providing field technical or troubleshooting support, equipment delivery and/or training for customers as needed/directed by Regional Manager and Territory Managers.
Required to have thorough knowledge of sales and mechanics with applicable physical capabilities to perform equipment demonstrations, equipment repairs and travel from a home base as required.
Training programs to educate customers and potential customers on current pavement maintenance techniques, equipment start-ups, Trade shows, introduction to new products and accessories and/or new equipment.
Visits to Crafco customers shall include problem solving, machinery start ups, seminars, public relations and maintaining Crafco's professional image.
Suggest new recommended changes to Crafco products either by what is experienced in the field or from customer comments, suggestions or ideas made in the field.
When in the office be prepared to assist and answer all technical questions.
The Regional Field Sales/Service Representative will be provided with a cell phone which is to be carried daily.
When on the road, the phone is to remain on 24 hours a day.
When out of cell range it is requested that contact with the supervisor on a once per day basis, minimum but preferably twice a day (a.m.
and p.m.). Complete and submit necessary documents and reports in a timely manner, as needed, including but not limited to: Customer notes and updates in Salesforce, expense reports, call/activity reports, vehicle and driver DOT and compliance documentation, service/work orders, and other documents, as needed.
Coordinate service, start-up and delivery training demonstrations of Crafco products as needed.
Assure that all demonstration and rental equipment is maintained in good-working, safe, and reliable condition.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; technical certifications desirable Minimum 5+ years related work experience Completed Crafco's advanced Service Technician training programs (or proven equivalency) Advanced mechanical aptitude and familiarity with variety of tools and their safe use/operation Knowledgeable with all equipment product lines manufactured or resold by Crafco Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Facilitation or training experience, a plus Valid US Driver's License with acceptable driving history Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve while working under pressure or with deadlines Ability to work independently, be self-directed and take initiative in prioritizing and executing work responsibilities Physical ability to perform job functions including but not limited to: standing, sitting, bending, squatting, or remaining in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time, lifting/moving large, bulky and/or heavy items (50 lbs.
or more) frequently, working in adverse conditions including hot/cold both indoors and outdoors and/or in inclement weather Must possess a high degree of safety-awareness Display and encourage a positive attitude, work well with others Desire to support customer's needs and provide outstanding service and deliver quality work Ability for local travel, as needed Employee will be required to lift boxes approximately 30-40 lbs., crawl underneath equipment, have access to flammable materials, and work around chemicals and asphalt-based products, Drive long distances in state and out of state, Work schedule will include late hours.
