Label specimen containers accurately, deliver to proper destination in a timely manner and perform order entry duties as required.
Must be able to provide and understand the specific communication, developmental and treatment needs of patients ranging in age from neonate-birth to geriatric.
Compliance: understands and complies with the Standards of Behavior and department policies, procedures and regulations.
Minimum Requirements Education · HS Diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program.
Experience · The skill to draw an average of 7 patients per hour within the first 90 days of employment.
· Proficient in the use of Laboratory Information System within the first 90 days of employment.
3-6 months of experience License/Registration/Certifications · Must be ASCP eligible Preferred Requirements Preferred Education · N/A Preferred Experience · N/A Preferred License/Registration/Certifications · N/A Core Job Responsibilities · Phlebotomist/Computer Operator/Processor is responsible for procurement and distribution of specimens, (blood, urine, etc.), computer data entry and operation of computer equipment.
· Must be able to provide and understand at the bedside the specific communication and collection needs of patients ranging in age from neonate-birth to geriatric.

· Process and receiving specimens for the technical staff.
· Prepare send out specimens for reference testing.
· Answer incoming calls for the laboratory.
· Monitor phlebotomy supply inventory and rotate supplies as needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
· Must maintain strict confidentiality of work-related information · Requires working irregular/flexible hours · Must have dependable transportation (including inclement weather) · Must be able to withstand the stress and demands of an active position.
