Job Description

CreateAbility's mission is to design, develop, and implement innovative technology that supports processes across the entire healthcare continuum to eliminate barriers, foster independence, and empower people to flourish.

We just celebrated our 24th year in the human services information technology space. Many of our products help people recovering from a brain injury or people with an intellectual developmental disability to be more independent and flourish.

We are looking for a full-time, full stack developer with a focus on building and maintaining web applications. Experience with Azure and administering web services is a plus.

We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good problem-solving ability for the position of Django / Python Developer. The duties of a Django / Python Developer include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user and customer level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.

Django / Python Developers are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with customers and colleagues. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems and implement solutions to them.

Our Tech Stack

· Web: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

· Backend: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Celery

· Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure, Ubuntu

Ideal Candidates Will Have the Following Qualifications:

· Familiarity with our tech stack

· Familiarity with contemporary software development methodologies and utilities (source control, agile)

· Ability to administer a Linux-based web server

· Professional experience as a software developer or similar role

· 2+ years’ experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.

Proficient in database programming and software installation.

Attention to detail and quality.

Good problem-solving skills.

Managing technical documentation.

Conducting routine backup operations.

Source Control using Git and Github

Desired but not required:

· Mobile Applications:

· Cross-platform development with Flutter (Dart),

· Accessible UI design

· Experience dealing with multiple mobile platform types (such as Android, and iOS).

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Good interpersonal skills.

Arduino (C++)

While this job is remote, qualified applicants will reside in the continental US and be a US citizen or a permanent resident of the US.
