Stand-Up Forklift Operator (Bilingual)

Job Description

Job Summary: As a Forklift Operator at Product Fulfillment Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products within our facilities. You will operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport items, maintaining a safe and organized workspace while adhering to all safety regulations. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move materials, products, and equipment within the facility.

Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring the proper placement of items and weight distribution.

Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure the forklift is in good working condition, reporting any issues to the supervisor.

Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking the movement of materials and products.

Organize and optimize storage areas to maximize space utilization.

Assist in the loading and unloading of materials onto and from shelves or pallets.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient material handling.

Participate in training programs and ongoing education to enhance forklift operation skills.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid forklift operator certification.

Proven experience as a forklift operator in a similar work environment.

Strong knowledge of forklift safety procedures and regulations.

Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with different types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach, pallet jack).

Familiarity with inventory management software.

Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of basic maintenance and troubleshooting for forklifts.

Bi-Lingual is a plus but not required

Working Conditions:

This position may require working in a warehouse or industrial setting with exposure to various weather conditions.

Regular lifting of heavy objects and the operation of heavy machinery are required.
