Summary Description
California Giant is seeking as an Information Technology Intern to gain a valuable hands-on experience in the dynamic field of IT. This internship opportunity is designed for students or recent graduates who are passionate about technology and eager to learn and grow in a professional setting. As an IT Intern, you will have the chance to work on diverse IT projects and collaborate with our experienced IT team.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
Provide employees with technical assistance on hardware and software issues, excluding those related to training.
Assist in the setup and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
Help troubleshoot and resolve IT problems as they arise.
Support the implementation of IT security measures and protocols.
Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, installations, and configurations.
Assist with IT documentation and knowledge base management.
Learn and apply IT best practices and procedures.
Collaborate with team members on IT initiatives and tasks.
Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or recent graduate)
Basic understanding of IT concepts and technologies
Familiarity with operating systems, networking, and software applications
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ethical standards and a commitment to upholding integrity and confidentiality in all IT operations.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
Physical Requirements
Job requires ability to sit for long periods of time to perform duties. Also required is the ability to walk around and make inquiries from other staff, management, etc. Must be able to bend or stoop down to access file cabinets including lifting of items or objects up to 10 pounds.
