The Role
GovExec is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be a critical player in providing senior management with pivotal financial insights that influence business decisions across our growing company. You will be joining the Financial Planning and Analysis team that forecasts GovExec’s financial success. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Responsibilities
Lead the annual budgeting, financial re-forecasting, and monthly reporting process for our demand generation businesses
Become a thought partner to senior management and help them evaluate strategic business decisions
Own creation of financial models which reflect short and long-term business plans, leveraging tools such as Tableau and Adaptive
Compile monthly financial variance reports, research key variance drivers from budget, and clearly communicate areas of risk and opportunity to department owners
Compile financial information for quarterly board presentations
Partner with the accounting team on the monthly close process and preparation of GAAP financial statements
Identify process improvements, drive efficiencies, and automate forecasting and reporting capabilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
2-4+ years of corporate experience in an FP&A department or similar finance role
Strong knowledge of creating and maintaining financial models
Experience with Workday Adaptive, NetSuite, or similar financial software preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Tableau skills preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills

The compensation range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
