Description
The Help Desk Technician 1 is an entry level position responsible for providing first-response support to clients related to computer hardware, peripherals, and software. A successful candidate need not have years of experience in the field but must have a passion for technology and an eagerness to learn new skills. Success in the Help Desk Technician I role will be based on a technician’s ability to exceed our clients’ expectations in customer service, communication, and support.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1st level support, by phone and email, for desktops, laptops, printers, and other computer-related devices and services, both remotely and on-site.
Provide accurate and timely logging of problems and their resolutions in a ticketing system.
Grow and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services supported by our Help Desk team.
Participate in an on call rotation.
Successful completion of training and certification requirements assigned by management.
Frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Help Desk Lead.
Required Skills:
Must have a passion for technology and problem solving.
Must exhibit a clear, friendly, and professional phone manner.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical terminology to non-technical end-users.
Must be able to handle multiple assignments with attention to detail.
Must have experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Must have reliable transportation.
