Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you'll be a critical part of maintaining the health, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. You'll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies and play a key role in supporting our company's growth and success.
Duties & Responsibilities:
System Administration:
· Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, network devices, and storage systems.
· Proactively monitor system performance and availability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
· Implement and maintain system security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
· Manage user accounts and access permissions, ensuring adherence to security policies.
· Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
· Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
· Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Cloud Computing:
· Manage cloud-based resources and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
· Deploy and maintain applications in the cloud.
Automation and Scripting:
· Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks.
· Utilize automation tools to improve system efficiency.
Collaboration and Support:
· Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless IT operations.
· Provide technical support to end-users, resolving issues related to their computers and applications.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Continuous Learning:
· Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
· Research and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve system efficiency and security.
Not Required but Preferred:
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Industry certifications (MCSA, CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps
Administrator)
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices
Qualifications:
• Proven experience: At least 10 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in
a similar role.
• Technical expertise: Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux),
networking protocols (TCP/IP), virtualization technologies, and cloud computing
platforms.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work
independently.
• Teamwork skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with other IT team members and stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science required; master's degree or MBA preferred.
· Relevant IT related professional certifications are highly preferred.
· Experience with ERP systems, ideally CSI, driving automation and integration of processes.
· SQL/ database skills
· A strong desire to keep abreast of new technology with an ability to implement applicable solutions to drive improved business performance.
