Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Description

Ø Software Development and configuration of Plant DCS and PLC systems on new Capital Projects

Ø Support of plant optimization efforts requiring modification to control systems

Ø Responsible for maintenance and upgrades to plant control systems

Ø Control loop design, selection and sizing of instruments and control equipment

Ø Help support plant electrical and power distribution systems

Ø In depth knowledge of and experience designing/maintaining industrial control systems.

Ø In-depth knowledge of and experience designing industrial electrical systems.

Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ø Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively interface with production groups

Ø Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ø Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ø Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ø Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Ø Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Ø Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Project), AutoCAD, EasyPower or related software preferred.

Ø Desired system experience: Yokogawa Centum VP, Rockwell Automation products, Melsec PLC, Siemens PLC’s

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

v Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering

v 5+ years of experience in industrial controls or equivalent combination of experience and education.
